For this project, we were tasked with exploring how Oslo Kommune could better facilitate citizen engagement through a digital platform. The goal was to design Mitt Nabolag—an app that enables residents to report issues, share local insights, and participate in shaping their neighborhoods.
Oslo faces challenges such as urban growth, climate adaptation, and maintaining strong community ties. While external factors like technological advancements and policy changes influence the city's development, the question remains: how can digital tools empower citizens to take an active role in their surroundings?
Through iterative research and prototyping, we developed Mitt Nabolag as a seamless communication channel between residents and the municipality, making civic participation more intuitive and impactful.
